Burnett starts fast in Packers secondary

August 15, 2011 By Bill Scott

Morgan Burnett was lost to the Packers early last season with a knee injury.  Prior to that injury, the safety was far from a physical presence for the Green BayPackers in their secondary.

But Burnett is off to a much better start so far this preseason, showing some much more physical attributes in the Packers preseason opening loss (27-17) to the Cleveland Browns.

Burnett was given his starting job back at the end of training camp and after one game, he’s proven the coaches right.

Burnett and the Packers return to the practice field this morning after taking Sunday off.  The Packers next face the Arizona Cardinals in the second preseason game this Friday night at Lambeau Field.
