Narveson lands on Brewers DL

August 11, 2011 By Bill Scott

Milwaukee Brewers left-handed pitcher Chris Narveson has been placed on the 15-day disabled list.  The move comes after he cut the thumb on his pitching hand with a scissors while working on his glove.

Narveson is 8-6 with a 4.49 ERA.  He was scheduled to start on Saturday against the Pittsburgh Pirates.  The Brewers are expected to go with Marco Estrada (2-7  4.80 ERA) or with a pitcher still working in the minors.
