Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan is trying to make his position clear on any plans he may have to run for President next year. The Janesville Republican has repeatedly said he is not interested in seeking the GOP nomination in 2012, although recent national reports have indicated that decision was being reconsidered.
Ryan moved to quiet that speculation Monday by releasing a statement, reiterating that he has not changed his mind.
Ryan says he appreciates the support and his humbled by the encouragement, but he plans to continue serving in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Ryan says he remains “hopeful that our party will nominate a candidate committed to a pro-growth agenda of reform that restores the promise and prosperity of our exception nation.”
