Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy said starting cornerback Tramon
Williams has a chance to play at Carolina on Sunday.
Williams suffered a bruised shoulder in the season opening win over the New Orleans Saints. He didn’t practice on Wednesday, but Mike McCarthy said even if Williams doesn’t practice today, there’s still a chance he could play on Sunday.
If Williams can’t play, second year pro Sam Shields would move into a starting role opposite Charles Woodson. Jarrett Bush would take over as the nickel back and Pat Lee would be inserted into the dime.
