Lasee launches exploratory committee

October 4, 2011 By Bob Hague

There’s another potential candidate to succeed Herb Kohl in the U.S. Senate. State Senator rank Lasee has announced he’ll begin raising money for a U.S. Senate campaign. “If we continue to do what we’re doing we’re going to end up like Greece or worse, because there’s nobody to bail us out,” the DePere Republican said. “We can’t keep over spending and over regulating.” Lasee said he’ll propose an energy policy which will drive down consumer costs, and work to repeal health care reform

Also announcing an exploratory committee is Assembly Speaker Jeff Fitzgerald. Former congressman Mark Neumann and former Governor Tommy Thompson are announced Republican candidates. Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin is the only Democrat in the race thus far.
