Vikings look like they’re going with Ponder

October 19, 2011 By Bill Scott

Minnesota Vikings coach Leslie Frazier said he would announce his starting quarterback for Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers today.  It looks like the cat is out of the bag early.

The Sports Agency that represents Christian Ponder, tweeted yesterday that the rookie quarterback will start for the Vikings on Sunday.

The 1-5 Vikings say they won’t comment until later today.  Donovan McNabb has struggled at Minnesota’s starter, ranking 29th in the NFL in touchdowns, 26th in passing yards and 19th in completion percentage.
