Ankle injury sidelines Konz

November 14, 2011 By Bill Scott

Center Peter Konz suffered a dislocated left ankle in Wisconsin’s 42-13 win over

Peter Konz

the Minnesota Gophers on Saturday.  It’s expected the injury will sideline Konz for the final two regular season games.

It’s not known if Konz will be able to make it back in time if the Badgers advance to the Big Ten title game.  His status for any bowl game is also up in the air.

Doctors in the Twin Cities that treated Konz seem to think the recovery time will be on the short end, between 2 to 4 weeks.

The Badgers play at Illinois this Saturday, then close out at home against Penn State.  If the Badgers win both games, they’re guaranteed a spot in the Big Ten title game.
