Braun is runnerup in gold glove voting

November 2, 2011 By Bill Scott

The Milwaukee Brewers haven’t had a Gold Glove winner since Robin Yount in

Ryan Braun

1982.  That streak will continue for at least another year after Ryan Braun was beat out by Arizona’s Gerardo Parra in voting among left fielders yesterday.

Braun led the National League in fielding percentage in left field this past season.  He had 1-error in 150 games and his 8 assists ranked second behind Parra.

The Louisville Silver Slugger awards will be announced by MLB Network tonight.  Braun is in line for his fourth straight honor.
