Hunter dies in Waushara County

November 18, 2011 By WRN Contributor

A Brown Deer man is dead in an apparent hunting accident in Waushara County.

Waushara County Sheriff David Petersen says 71-year-old Alvin B. Madison was founded in wooded property near the intersections of County Highways K and A in Town of Spring Water Thursday afternoon.

Detectives working with Department of Natural Resources wardens determined Madison had been hunting turkeys along on property owned by a friend.

He died from a single gunshot from a 12-gauge shotgun that was recovered at the scene. Sheriff Petersen says there was no evidence another person was involved in the shooting.
