Packers add RB Saine to roster

November 1, 2011 By Bill Scott

The Green Bay Packers have signed RB Brandon Saine to the active roster from the practice squad, placing RB Alex Green on injured reserve.  They also signed C/G Paul Fenaroli and S Anthony Levine to the practice squad and released C/G Cecil Newton from the practice squad.

Saine, a 5’11, 220-pound rookie out of Ohio State, signed with the Packers as a non-drafted free agent on July 28 and has been on the team’s practice squad all season.  He posted 51 rushing yards on 19 carries (2.7 avg.) and six receptions for 36 yards (6.0 avg.) during the preseason.
