Pot bust worth $7 million

November 1, 2011 By WRN Contributor

A big pot bust at a farm site in Racine County. More than 1,800 pounds of marijuana, worth over $ 7 million dollars on the street, is what was hauled away in trash bags, in a dump truck, from the property. Guns and cash were also confiscated.

Racine County Sheriff Christopher Schmaling says a confidential informant’s tip led to the bust, with help from Greenfield police and a multi-jurisdictional drug task force out of Milwaukee. A 44-year-old man was taken into custody as the keeper of a drug house – and – for both manufacturing & possession with intent to deliver.

The farm property is within shouting distance of an elementary school in the Town of Raymond.
