Scam targets Better Business Bureau

November 23, 2011 By Bob Hague

The Better Business Bureau is being targeted by a nationwide e-mail scam. Ran Hoth with the Better Business Bureau of Wisconsin warns businesses here about the phishing e-mails. “We’ve identified one of these domain addresses as coming from India,” Hoth said. The fake e-mails come from [email protected], [email protected] or [email protected]. They should be deleted immediately, and businesses are urged to make sure that their anti-virus software is up to date. Hoth said the national Better Business Bureau Council is on “high alert” and working with IT staff to combat the attack.
