City council president mulling Senate run

December 6, 2011 By WRN Contributor

Fond du Lac City Council President Rick Gudex is exploring a run for the State Senate. He could challenge Senator Jessica King in the 18th State Senate if he decides to run, something he says he will take a good look at during the next month.

Gudex works as a production manager at Brenner Tank LLC in Fond du Lac. In addition to his experience on the Fond du Lac City Council he has served as Mayor of Mayville and on the Village Board in Eden. He says that experience has prepared him for the next step, but it’s how his personal life will be affected that he has to consider. Gudex says he has nothing to hide. He feels he will decide to run.

King unseated Senator Randy Hopper during a recall election last August.
