Major fire in Pulaski

December 3, 2011 By WRN Contributor

A major fire in downtown Pulaski Saturday morning damaged five buildings, including the bowling alley where it started. The blaze began in a bowling alley spread to four other buildings along a single block overnight. Lieutenant Nick Craig of the Green Bay fire department said the fire started around midnight at Wood Lanes in the 100 block of West Pulaski Street. Firefighters had to evacuate 40 people, and the American Red Cross is assisting them. One firefighter went to a hospital with a minor injury. Craig said every fire department in Brown County sent crews to the scene, along with crews from neighboring counties.
