Poor shooting does in the Badgers

December 1, 2011 By Bill Scott

The 9th ranked Wisconsin Badgers, despite some rare poor shooting, fell to

Jordan Taylor

North Carolina 60-57 in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge in Chapel Hill.

The Badgers led by as many as 5 in the second half before North Carolina turned the tables with an 18-5 run.  Harrison Barnes played on a sore ankle and led all scorers with 20 points for the Tar Heels.

Wisconsin trailed by just 1 at the half, but shooting, or the lack there of it, was crucial for UW.  Wisconsin entered the game shooting 47% from 3-point range, but his just 28% from beyond the arc in this contest.  The Badgers normally shoot 49% from the field but managed to connect on just 35% of their shots overall in the loss.

Senior guard Jordan Taylor had 18 for the Badgers, but he’s disappointed because he knew Carolina could have been had.
