Badgers back to even in Big Ten play

January 16, 2012 By Bill Scott

It wasn’t pretty, but the Wisconsin Badgers improved to 14-5 overall and 3-3 in the Big Ten with a 50-45 win over Nebraska at the Kohl Center on Sunday.

The Badgers started slow, turning the ball over 11-times in the first half.  Wisconsin built an 11-point second half lead.  Some clutch free throw shooting down the stretch allowed Wisconsin to hang on for the victory.

Jordan Taylor scored 19 points and hit 5 free throws in the final 30 seconds to seal the win for the Badgers.  Josh Gasser added 12 points for the Badgers who moved into a tie with Indiana for 6th place in the Big Ten Conference.

The Badgers next, host Northwestern on Wednesday night.
