Bucks finish off dismal road trip winless

January 9, 2012 By Bill Scott

The Milwaukee Bucks extended their losing streak out west to 5-games, falling in Phoenix 109-93 to the Suns on Sunday night.

The Bucks have now fallen to the Suns in Phoenix 24-straight times.  The last Milwaukee victory in the land of the sun came back in 1987.

Steve Nash had 8 assists on the Suns’ first eight baskets and finished with 17 for the game.  The Suns were able to rest their starters in the fourth quarter after they built a 91-66 lead through 3.

The Bucks (2-6) remained winless on the road, falling to 0-6 overall.  They played the last four games on the five-game road trip without center Andrew Bogut, who left for Australia to attend to a family issue.  Bogut is on his way back to the states and is expected to be ready to rejoin the Bucks when they host San Antonio on Tuesday night.

Marcin Gortat scored 18 points to lead the Suns.  Tobias Harris had 15 for the Bucks.
