A Portage County jury has found a Bancroft man guilty of two charges in a triple stabbing.
After deliberating Friday and more than half the day Monday, the jury convicted Tyler Dahms of killing his girlfriend’s aunt and stabbing her dad last spring. Dahms was acquitted though on charges he stabbed the girlfriend’s uncle.

Dahms faces up to 60 years on the most serious charge, but prosecutor David Knaapen would not comment on what kind of sentence he will recommend.
The stabbing happened last May after the girlfriend’s family kicked Dahms off their property following an underage drinking party. Dahms claimed he acted in self defense when one of the victims threatened to kill him.
