Paul’s former party on his polling popularity

January 17, 2012 By Brian Moon

Congressman Ron Paul is doing well in polling as Republican presidential candidate — much better than his previous attempt as Libertarian Party presidential hopeful.

Will Losch, Vice Chair of the Libertarian Party of Wisconsin, “loves the message,” Paul is circulating saying it benefits the LP’s platform. But he emphasizes checking out Libertarian presidential candidates, the most high-profile being former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson.

Losch says candidates in the two major parties are increasingly corporate funded through donors, PAC’s and Super PAC’s. “So voting for a Libertarian you are going against the grain on that.”

The LP supports a free-market approach to public policy, property rights and a foreign policy emphasizing non-interventionism.
