Taylor named Cousy finalist

A day after scoring a season-high 28 points against Michigan State,

Wisconsin’s  Jordan Taylor has been selected as one of 20 finalists for the 2012 Bob Cousy Collegiate Point Guard of the Year Award.

Taylor, who was one of five finalists for the 2011 Cousy Award, leads the Badgers, averaging 13.7 points and 4.7 assists per game, while adding 4.1 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game.  He also ranks third in the Big Ten with a 2.9 assist-to-turnover ratio on the season.

The current list of 20 finalists for the 2012 award will be narrowed to 5 in March with the winner to be announced at the Final Four in New Orleans on April 2nd.
