Stricker & Wilson in the field of 16

Wisconsin golfers Steve Stricker and Mark Wilson both advanced to the round

Steve Stricker

of 16 at the World Match Play Championships in Arizona.

Stricker made a 20-foot birdie putt on 18 to beat Louis Oosthuizen of South Africa 1-up.  Stricker will face American Hunter Mahan in the round of 16 today.

Mark Wilson earned a 3 & 2 victory over England’s Robert Rock on Thursday.

Wilson will face another American, Dustin Johnson today.
