Attorney faces teen sex charges

March 27, 2012 By WRN Contributor

A Sheboygan man who’s a practicing attorney has been arrested on six felony counts, in connection with the sexual assault of a 15-year old girl last November. Joseph M. Engl was taken into-custody late last week, following an extensive investigation. Manitowoc County District Attorney Mark Rohrer Rohrer says the reported incident occurred in the Village of Mishicot on November 19th, 2011.

The 36 year-old Engl is a registered sex offender. He was convicted on one count of using a computer to facilitate a child sex crime in a Milwaukee County case.

Rohrer said Engl remains jailed in lieu of $150,000 cash bail. He made an initial court appearance Monday afternoon and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 3rd.
