Body of missing UWSP student found

March 5, 2012 By WRN Contributor

Police in Stevens Point have found a missing college student in the Wisconsin River. Divers pulled 21-year-old Eric Duffey’s body from the river this afternoon. Duffey was last seen early Saturday after celebrating his 21st birthday, and police think he may have become disoriented and wandered into the river. Police will wait for toxicology results to confirm how much alcohol the Fitchburg native may have had in his system.
