Green Bay advances to Horizon League semifinals

The 10th ranked Green Bay Phoenix cruised into the women’s Horizon League Tournament semifinals by beating Valparaiso 77-53 in Quarterfinal play on Wednesday night.

The win, insured that Green Bay will host the semifinals and championship of the Horizon League tournament at the Kress Events Center.  They’ll host the 4-seed, Illinois-Chicago in Friday’s semifinals.

Senior forward Julie Wojta had 17 points to lead the Phoenix to their 28th win of the season.
