Wisconsin incoming football recruit, quarterback Bart Houston will undergo
surgery on his right throwing shoulder that will probably limit his participation in the team’s fall camp.
Wisconsin coach Bret Bielema revealed Houston’s situation during a Mendota Gridiron Club meeting Monday in Oshkosh.
Houston is a 4-star recruit by ESPN and Scout.com. He threw for 5,178 yards and 46 touchdowns in his high school career, positng a 38-1 record as a starter and winning three state championships.
Unless the Badgers can add Maryland quarterback Danny O’Brien, who is contemplating a transfer to the UW, will enter preseason camp with Jon Budmayr and Curt Phillips coming off injuries.
