Noise rattles Clintonville residents

March 28, 2012 By Jackie Johnson

Another day, another boom in Clintonville.

The US Geological Survey might put a seismometer in Clintonville to get a better read on what’s going on. Booming, rattling, rumbling, and exploding type noises are being heard for the tenth day in the City of Clintonville. That’s according to City Administrator, Lisa Kuss, who immediately contacted the USGS last night to have them begin searching for any possible data.

Police received 70 calls reporting the mystery noises on Tuesday night between 10:30 and 11:30; and some residents told police the noises were some of the loudest yet. The majority of the callers were from the same vicinity as last week. However, some were west of the previous area. An earthquake of a 1.5 magnitude was recorded eight days ago.
