Van Dellen steps down at UW-Oshkosh

After 22-seasons at the helm, Ted Van Dellen retired as UW Oshkosh Men’s Basketball Coach Thursday.

Van Dellen leaves as the programs all-time winningest coach with 358 wins; Robert Kolf is second on the list with 243.  Among the other numbers for Van Dellen were 17-winning seasons and 5-trips to the Division 3 NCAA Men’s Basketball tournament  The Titans made it to the Sweet 16 in 2002 and the Elite 8 in 2003.

His name will also be listed in the WIAC history books as he leaves with the 4th most wins in league history.  Only Ken Anderson (631) of Eau Claire, Dave Vander Muellen (440) of Whitewater and Dwain Mintz (380) of Stout had more.
