Bucks playoff chances diminishing

April 19, 2012 By Bill Scott

The Milwaukee Bucks playoff hopes took a major hit last night when they fell to the Washington Wizards 121-112.

Jordan Crawford tied a season-high with 32 points for the Wizards.  Monta Ellis had 31 points in the loss for the Bucks.

Philadelphia won it’s game, 103-87 over Cleveland, which means the 76ers moved 2 1/2 games in front of the Bucks for the 8th and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.  Both teams have 5-games left in the regular season.  The Bucks are at Indiana to face the Pacers tonight.

The Bucks played without forward Larry Sanders, still feeling the effects of a stomach flu.

112 points should be enough to win games in the NBA, but the Wizards shot 56% from the field against a hapless Bucks defense and outscored them in the end.
