Children find decomposed body

April 12, 2012 By WRN Contributor

Two youngsters in Kenosha made a gruesome discovery Wednesday afternoon, a body wedged in the rocks along the shore of Lake Michigan just south of the historic Kemper Center. The fire department extended an aerial ladder out toward the rocks, to get personnel where the body was located.

Police say the person wasn’t wearing any clothes and there was no identification. They also could not tell if it was a man or woman. It’s unknown whether the badly decomposed body: washed in from the lake, fell onto the rocks, or something else.

Investigators were checking missing persons reports as part of their evidence gathering, while an autopsy today could help determine the cause of death.
