Collins to meet with Packers next week

April 4, 2012 By Bill Scott

A decision on Nick Collins future was supposed to be made public this week,

Nick Collins

but the future of the Packers safety in the NFL will now be discussed next week.

The Green Bay Press Gazette reported on Tuesday that Collins’ agent Alan Herman and Nick will both meet with the Packers next week and a decision will be made after that, based on the results of several tests.

Collins has single fusion surgery on his neck last September after he sustained a herniated disc in Week 2 of last season.

The 28-year old safety was coming off of three straight Pro Bowls seasons when he was injured trying to make a tackle against the Carolina Panthers.
