Gamblers set franchise mark with 46th win

April 7, 2012 By Bill Scott

The Green Bay Gamblers set a new franchise record for wins, picking up their 46th victory of the season in a 7-3 win over Muskegon at the Resch Center on Friday night.

The Gamblers fell behind 2-0, and then 3-1, before eventually scoring six unanswered goals to win.

It was only the fourth time this year the Gamblers have allowed three goals in the first 20 minutes of play.

Forward Kyle Nowak scored a pair of goals and Alex Broadhurst finished with four assists, scoring his 100th point as a Gambler.

The Gamblers close out their home schedule tonight by hosting Waterloo.  They’ll close out the regular season with a pair of road games at Youngstown next weekend.  If the Gamblers win all three of their remaining games, they would set a new USHL record for wins with 48.
