Still nothing from Collins on his NFL future

April 3, 2012 By Bill Scott

No word from the Nick Collins camp with regards to his NFL playing future.  Collins agent said his client would receive test results from his doctors on Monday.  Whether those results were received or not is up in the air.

Last week, Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy indicated that he would advise Collins not to return after he sustained a herniated disc in week 2 of last season.  McCarthy said if Collins were his son, he wouldn’t let him play.

Collins said late last season that he wanted to have information in March to allow him to make a decision on his future.  He also wanted the Packers to be able to plan for the draft based on the news that Collins may receive.
