Public school teachers in Janesville are facing some criticism through a flier that was distributed around town over the weekend. The handout inserted in newspaper delivery boxes lists the names and salaries of over 300 teachers, along with information on how the public can check to see if they signed a petition to recall the governor.
The fliers also include a form for parents to sign and send to the school board, requesting their child be assigned to a classroom taught by a “non-radical teacher.”
Janesville Education Association President David Parr says it appears to be an anonymous attack, since the fliers don’t include names from anyone claiming responsibility. He says there are people who clearly would rather “talk and complain than actually find a solution” and appear to just be angry at those who don’t share their opinions.

The salary information was obtained by Citizens for Responsible Government through an open records request, although an official with the group has declined to identify the Janesville residents distributing it.
