Packers get first look at the rookies today

May 11, 2012 By Bill Scott

Green Bay Packers rookies get their first test today, the start of the teams Rookie Orientation mini-camp.

It’s a chance for the players to familiarize themselves with the coaches and the teams system.

At least two Packer rookie draft picks, Jerel Worthy of Michigan State and Jerron McMillian from Maine, have reached deals with the Packers.  But deal or no deal, all of the teams rookies will take part in this 3-day camp.

All eyes will be on the teams new defensive members as the Packers try to improve the teams 32nd ranked defense in the league.

The Packers will hold their workouts inside the Hutson Center with the first practice set for 4pm this afternoon.
