Packers open “Rookie Orientation Camp” on Friday

May 10, 2012 By Bill Scott

The Green Bay Packers open their “Rookie Orientation Camp” on Friday in Green bay.  The Packers could have all eight of their draft picks under contract by the time they hit the field.

The new Collective Bargaining Agreement has made everything quite simple with no room for any negotiating.  Even the length of the new deals is set.  1st round picks must sign 4-year deals with an option for a fifth year.  All other draft picks must sign 4-year deals.

The Packers will have just over $4.8-million to spend on their 8 draft picks this year.
