The Cincinnati Reds broke a scoreless tie in the 9th with a pair of runs, on the way to a 2-1 win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday.
Joey Votto doubled home the first run and Brandon Phillips added an RBI single to put the Reds up 2-0. Ryan Braun homered in the bottom half of the 9th to close the gap, but the Brewers threat ended there.
Zach Greinke was dominating for the Brewers, surrendering just 2-hits in 8 innings, with 11 strikeouts and no walks.

Johnny Cueto worked seven scoreless innings with 1 walk and 5 strikeouts for the Reds.
Cincinnati took 2 of 3 in the series from the Brewers and gave Reds manager Dusty Baker his 1,500th managerial victory.
The Brewers fell to 13-18, 7-games behind the 1st place St. Louis Cardinals. They’re now tied for last place in the Central Division with the Chicago Cubs.
The Brewers are off today. They’ll open a 3-game weekend series against the Chicago Cubs at Miller Park on Friday night.
