Spring renews interest in housing market

May 17, 2012 By WRN Contributor

The housing market in southern Wisconsin is in an “active” mode and it marks the beginning of a busy time for the industry.

Kevin King, executive vice president of the South Central Wisconsin Realtors Association, says there’s an increase in offers being made and deals being closed for later this month and in June. Also, showings are up 50 percent from a year ago.

King says he expects the next few months to remain busy, with potential home buyers wanting to make deals before the start of the next school year.

Wisconsin home sales have been on the rise this year and that momentum is expected to carry into the summer months.
