The Milwaukee Brewers have suffered through injuries, poor play and inconsistency. But for a 4-game stretch against the Los Angeles Dodgers, it appears as if the Brewers are ready to come out of their shell.
The Brewers pulled off a 4-game sweep with a 6-2 victory on Thursday night. Aramis Ramirez and Carlos Gomez each clubbed 2-run homers and Zach Greinke gave the Brewers six solid innings to earn the win. Greinke allowed just 1-run.
The Brewers jumped past Houston in the Central division into 4th place. They trail the Pirates by 2 1/2 games for third place. They’re 5 1/2 games behind the front running Cincinnati Reds.
The Brewers return home to open a 3-game weekend series against the Pirates at Miller Park tonight.
