Brewers go to replay to beat Toronto

June 19, 2012 By Bill Scott

The Milwaukee Brewers have just become fans of “instant replay”.

With the score tied 6-6 Aramis Ramirez sent a shot down the left field line that was originally ruled foul.  But manager Ron Roenicke convinced the umpires to take another look.  They did, the call was reversed and the Brewers knocked off the Toronto Blue Jays 7-6 at Miller Park.

For Ramirez, it’s home run number 8 and he’s become an instant fan of instant replay.

Ramirez has made quite a turn-around.  After a slow start to the season, Ramirez increased his batting average to .262 with 3-hits last night.

Randy Wolf was in line for the win before Cameron Loe served up a 3-run homer to Jose Bautista.  John Axford worked the 9th to pick up the save.
