Less than a week after losing in the recall election of Governor Scott Walker, Wisconsin Democrats look at their next battle when they gather in Appleton for their annual convention beginning tonight.
“We’re not stopping. We’re not hanging our heads. We’re going to keep fighting,” says state Democratic Party spokesman Graeme Zielinski. He says their control of the state Senate will stop Walker’s “radical agenda.”

The party is looking ahead to November in working to re-elect President Obama and elect Tammy Baldwin into the U.S. Senate. Baldwin is speaking at the event along with DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman-Schultz.
The Wisconsin Republican Party says the convention’s appearance by Wasserman-Schultz is “damage control” for Obama not campaigning for recall challenger Tom Barrett. Wisconsin Republicans held their convention last month in Green Bay.
