Minnesota man dies during regatta

June 22, 2012 By Bob Hague

A man who died Thursday while participating in a sailing regatta on a Madison area lake has been identified as 66 year-old Henry M. Baskerville of Chaska, Minnesota. The Dane County Medical Examiner’s office says Baskerville was sailing on Lake Kegonsa when he reportedly fell or was thrown from his boat. A regatta safety boat pulled him from the water alert and conscious, but Baskerville lost conciousness as he he was lifted aboard. Baskerville was pronounced dead a short time later at Stoughton Hospital. The results of an autopsy are pending further study, but it disclosed nothing suspicious, according to the medical examiner’s office. The case remains under investigation.
