Royals Sweep Crew

June 15, 2012 By Bill Scott

The Royals completed the three game sweep of the Brewers on Thursday night with another last at bat 4-3 win.  John Axford blew his 2nd straight save as the Royals scored a pair in the inning to steal the win.  The Brewers got homers from Ryan Braun and Aramis Ramirez and a pinch hit run scoring single in the 8th by Cody Ransom to take the lead, but the Royals scored two in the 9th off of Axford.  Brayan Pena’s pinch hit single scored Mitch Maier to tie the game, but Edwin Maysonet and Rickie Weeks threw it around the infield allowing Jarrod Dyson to score all the way from first.  Shawn Marcum was brilliant in seven and two thirds innings of work, giving up just two runs on four hits.  Milwaukee opens up a series inMinnesota tonight.  Mike Fiers takes on Francisco Liriano.
