Thornburg sent to AAA Nashville

June 21, 2012 By Bill Scott

Following Wednesday’s 8-3 win over Toronto, the Milwaukee Brewers sent right-handed pitcher Tyler Thornburg to Class AAA Nashville.

Thornburg made his Major League debut on Tuesday, filling in for Shaun Marcum who is out with a sore right elbow.  Thornburg worked 5 1/3 innings and allowed 5-runs on 7-hits.  He was not involved in the decision.

Thornburg was slated to pitch in the Southern League All-Star game on Tuesday before making the jump from double-A to triple-A.
