Lucroy goes 2 for 3 in Appleton (AUDIO)

July 20, 2012 By Bill Scott

For the first time since May 27th, Milwaukee Brewers catcher Jonathan Lucroy played in game.  Lucroy suited up for Brewers Class A affiliate Wisconsin Thursday night in Appleton.  He went 2-for-3 with a double and was behind the plate for 5-innings.  Lucroy could have been 3 for 3 as his lone out was a sharp liner right at the second baseman.

Lucroy has been out of action since May 27th after he fractured his right hand when a suitcase fell on it in his hotel room.  The plan is for Lucroy to be in Appleton through Sunday before he heads to Nashville for a pair of games.  The plan is for Lucroy to return to Milwaukee July 26th, when the Brewers open up a 4-game series with the Washington Nationals.
