Brewers get rare run away win

August 1, 2012 By Bill Scott

Playing the worst team in baseball, the Milwaukee Brewers opened a lead and

Yovani Gallardo

went on to crush the Houston Astros 10-1 at Miller Park on Tuesday night.

Houston closed out July with just 3 victories during the month.

Yovani Gallardo continued his career domination of the Astros by pitching 7 innings and improving his lifetime record against Houston to 12-2 with a 2.61 ERA.

Aramis Ramirez had three hits and drove in four runs.  He and Corey Hart each clubbed three run homers.  It’s home run #20 for Hart.

Houston’s only run came on Chris Snyder’s leadoff homer in the third inning off of Gallardo.

The Brewers will go for the sweep today with an afternoon game at Miller Park.
