Legion Baseball State Tournament update

Madison captured the Class AAA State American Legion championship by beating Ash Port 12-2 in Sunday’s title game in Appleton.

Madison (37-8) advances to the National Great Lakes American Legion Baseball Tournament in Midland, Michigan beginning August 9th.

Wisconsin Dells (17-6) won the Class A State Championship, knocking off Waupun 6-5 in 10 innings in the title game. 

The Class AA State Tournament continues in Onalaska.  Sunday’s final scores:

New London 4, Menomonie 0
Onalaska 5, Beaver Dam 4
Rhinelander 14, Sturgeon Bay 7
Holmen 1, Menasha 0

Today’s schedule:

Sturgeon Bay vs. Onalaska  noon
Menasha vs. New London  2:30pm
Holmen vs. Rhinelander  5:00pm
