AUDIO: Police Spokesman Joel DeSpain on the early morning attack on Montee Ball :19

Ball was attacked around 2:15 this morning by five black men in the 500 block of University Avenue.

Ball was taken to a Madison hospital for treatment and has been since released to the care of UW Sports Medicine.

The Badgers begin fall football practice on Monday.  Whether Ball is on the field for that workout is unknown at this time but coach Bret Bielema said Montee is expected to make a full recovery.
