Painting the town yellow

August 4, 2012 By WRN Contributor

Middleton will be all decked out in yellow on Saturday. It’s a celebration of all things “mustardy” in the Dane County community. “There’s so much mustard to taste, the place is awash in mustard,” said Barry Levinson, proprietor of the National Mustard Museum in Middleton. “We paint the town yellow.” The annual National Mustard Day drew more than 6,000 aficionados of the King of Condiments last year. This is the 21st year for the event. “We close off the streets in and around the museum. There are mustard games and free hot dogs,” said Levinson. Just don’t ask for ketchup.
