Spitter crashes rally for Romney

August 17, 2012 By WRN Contributor

Tensions ran high during a women’s rally for Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney on Friday. Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch and Senator Alberta Darling were at an office in Grand Chute for the event. About two dozen protesters gathered across the street and one sneaked into the event and began yelling during Darling’s remarks. “Why are you against Planned Parenthood?” the woman asked. “Could we ask you to leave?” said Darling.

The protestor spit in the face of a Romney supporter as she was being asked to leave. The protestor claimed she was attacked by others at the rally, and asked paramedics to check her out. She had a couple of small scratches.

UPDATE: The Appleton Post-Crescent has posted video of the incident on its website.
