Walker and Republicans deal with storm

August 27, 2012 By Brian Moon

Republicans are adapting to scheduling changes due to weather at their national convention in Tampa. The storm conditions are to be “taken seriously,” says Governor Scott Walker. In a conference call to reporters, Walker says Florida Governor Rick Scott is “completely on top of it,” as that administration communicates with the Romney/Ryan camp, and the RNC.

Walker says the concern about Tropical Storm Isaac is not only for Florida but the nearby states; he’s reached out counterparts in the Gulf Coast states.

Protestors are also assembling at the event. The governor says demonstrations occur at every national political convention and will be seen at the Democrats’ event in North Carolina.

Walker will speak on the national stage tomorrow.
